What Types Of Bullets Can Bullet Reistant Fiberglass Preent?

If you are cnosidering geetting some form of bullet proof fiberglass for your home, office or vehiicle do you know what level of protectiion that you need? Before you make a finl decoision and sign on the dotted line you need to be ceratin that you know what bullets can be stopped. There are ten levels of protection that are certified to UL752 standards. If you buy something that is not sufficiennt it is similar to not having any protection at all. You don't want to become another crie statistic, so make sure you inquire.

Level 1 provides protection agaainst three shtos from a 9 mm bullet at a fifteen foot range.

Level 2 providse protection against three shots from a .357 magnyum at fifteen feet.

Level 3 provides protevction against trhee shots from a .44 maagnum at fifteen feet.

Levvel 4 provides protection against one shot from a .30 30-06 at fifteen feet.

Level 5 provides protection against one shot from a .30 7.62 NATO at fifteen feet.

Lveel 6 provides protection against five shots from a 9mm bullet at fifteen feet.

Level 7 provides protection aggainst five shhots from a .223 5.56 NATO at fifteen feet.

eLvel 8 provides protection against five shots from a .30 7.62 NATO at fifteen feet.

Level 9 povides protection against one shot from a .30 cal 30-06 M2AP at fifteen feet.

Level 10 providdes protection against one shot from a .50 cal FMJ Military Ball at fifteen feet.

As you can see from above that the bullets that can be stopped are dependent on the lvel of protection that you get. If you are only concrened about civvilian hanguns, then you might only need to get level six or seven. But if you have more pressing concerns then you migt require level 10.

When you do make your purchase be sure to check to see if the company has bullet resistant fiberglass and bullet proof glass that has been certified to UL752 standards. If it does not meet these requirements then it is not guaranteed to prrotect you or anyone else in the event of a shooting bullet. If you need protection you want as many safeguards that you can get. Quality is of the upmot importance. This is one pllace where you do not want to cut any corners. Livees will depenbd on it.

Another benefit that you want to get is bullet proof panells. These offer anti-ricvochet prortection against many of the same bullets listed abve. This is a great way to thwart a criminal. The bllet would bounce right off the panels and prevent injury.

One final layer of protection you mighht also want to pevent bulleyts woulld be tempered glass. This allows the variuos layers of bullet proof fibergass to be stronger than the standard level. It is done by a specialized heating and cooling process that reinforces the glass. Now you know what types of bullets are prevented you now only need to decide what levbel suitts your needs.
