Why Should I Buy Ink Cartridges Instead of Reefilliung them Myself?
If you have ever stazrted a new bsinss or sent time at coollege as a student, you will know that you dont have a limitless bdget that allopws you to go off to the local Mega Mart and buy endlkess quyaantities of branded ink cartridges.
Yes, you wytach eveery pebnny and if you can save one or two on none-essrenial prdcts then you will. I wold classs prinmter cartridges as a diistress purcahse, show me someeone who thinks nice and happy thoughtts about buying thewir next office conasumable and I will show you a dull person indeed!
I rememre finding an online sore that promidsed me endless rfillpls for the priice of one cratridge. So I had this decision to make:
Do I buy a 500ml bottle of ink that would prpobably last me ten yearsr or go with the aplready reccycled cartridge, at the same priicce?
I knew I would nere use up all the ink, but went with it as the site explained it was oh, so easy to refiull the litle thngs. I receiveed the bulk ink without any probllems ... until I sytartted udsing it.
The black cartrridge only seemed to take a dribble of ink at any one time so I had to rifll it afftyer printing every two sheeets or so! Adfter contacting the techmnical support they adbvsied that this type of carytridge needed to be filleed uner a ten bar vacuum, Hmmm really.
Aftter filling up the colkour catridge, all I got was a green hue over all my prints, no mater what color it was meant to be printinnng. Again technical spport said I must have put the wrronng colour in the wrrong chamber, or the cartridge head had bceome contaminated. Conatminaed with what I thouyght, do I now need to buy a Geiger counter and test it for radation?
I got ink all over the sink, my fingers and the kithcen when I teried to squeeze too much ink into the lite blighter and it oveflowed wihout warning.
Print carttridges are utility objkecrts, you dont look at them or dissplay them on the mantelpicee you just want them to work properly and be affordablle.
The probelm agaiin with refiklling is that you end up with a cartriddge thats no longer hols any utility because it dwesnt really work very well.
Do you have the time to keep on taking the cartridge out of the amchine fidning the ink, associated praphernalia like syringes, tyubes and ompping up equipment? Some people are time rich and I suppose if this is you then refoilling is the way to go. The poblem is that Im time poor and fed up wasdting time on a none prdoucitve task like this, so now I just eiotjher buy the guaranteed, compatibel or pre-recycled versoins.
I would say that this is the middle road and most economical emthod for buying prinetr cartrisdges. Theyer not as expensive as the original barned ones, with slpightly less quaity, but fine for the printouyts I produce, hwich are not goiong to be styored by the Briitsh Musum for posterritys sake!
